My name is Mrs. Clark and I am excited to be teaching for my 6th year at Rosenwald! I was born and raised in Nicholasville. I have a younger brother, Josh, who is 29 and lives in Wyoming. My dad was a professional wedding videographer and my mom was a Kindergarten teacher at Nicholasville Elementary and then at the Jessamine Early Learning Village when it opened. Her name is Carla Ray. I attended Nicholasville Elementary and then Lexington Christian Academy, where I graduated. After high school, I attended the University of Kentucky and majored in Elementary Education. I have completed my Masters Degree as a Literacy Specialist. I plan to begin the process to pursue my National Board Certification in the next year or so.
I am married to Lewis, who works in IT and Graphic Design for a property management company in Lexington. He also owns his own graphic design company, called Understory. We will be celebrating our 12th anniversary in October. We have three daughters: Isis, who is 6 years old and starting 1st grade this year at RDES with Mrs. Burden, Lux, who will be 4 in October, and Aura, who was born at the end of April 2016!
My interests include reading, watching TV and movies, and hanging out with my family and friends. I also love to cook and am working on expanding my list of recipes. I hope this gives you a little glimpse of who I am. I love getting to know my students as well!
